Partner Highlight - King & Spalding

Urban Peak is lucky to work with many supportive partners throughout this amazing Denver community and beyond. One such partner is the law firm King & Spalding. Not only do they provide significant monetary support through event sponsorships and large contributions, but we are also lucky to have their Denver Office Managing Partner, Cliff Stricklin, sitting on our Board of Directors since 2020.

Cliff Stricklin, board member extraordinaire!

Cliff has worked in the justice system in various roles for 30+ years. While based in Dallas, Texas as a state district judge, he saw firsthand what happens when “young people haven’t been given a chance”, and how many people could have avoided ending up in front of him with preventative support. He resolved to do what he could to “stop it before it starts” and identified intervention and opportunity as the two sides of the solution.

When King & Spalding opened their Denver office, Cliff was looking for ways to get involved. He learned about Urban Peak’s unique, trauma-informed approach to tackling youth homelessness through another of our board members, Jim Hearty, and decided to jump right in. Alongside financially supporting our critical work, Cliff brings valued expertise, compassion and years of experience to the board. He is also looking forward to later in his career when he has more free time to invest in lending hands-on support. All forms of support are invaluable, and we are deeply grateful to Cliff and King & Spalding for investing in this community and young people’s futures!
