Nico has served in various roles at Urban Peak since 2015, starting as a volunteer and later, outreach case manager.

Nico became Urban Peak's first training manager in 2021 before being promoted to assistant director of training and project management in 2023, where they facilitated programmatic planning for the new Mothership campus. Nico assumed their current role as the director of strategic initiatives in January 2025.

Prior to working at Urban Peak, Nico facilitated a leadership program for high schoolers centered on racial justice, worked for a community center providing after-school programming and tutoring support to undocumented youth, and worked in adult homeless services across three other cities. Nico holds a master’s in social work from Colorado State University.
