An Electric Show of Talent
Urban Peak youth are full of talent and creativity, so our staff put together The Mothership’s first-ever youth talent show to give them a platform to express their unique gifts. With decorations and lighting, they transformed The Hive, our training room, into a whole new space.
Youth and staff alike came out to celebrate each other’s bravery and talent together as a community. Several folks had unique talents to share. Some notable highlights include:
Alan pops off with his dance routine
Alan performed a dance routine to a song from the movie Sing; and busted moves that had the audience on their feet!
Royal sang “Best Part” by Daniel Caesar, accompanied by Zee on guitar.
Zee also sang a rendition of “Let Me Love You” by Mario.
Quinn gave a tarot reading.
Zoe sang and played the piano!
Gage played a piano medley of songs across many genres that left staff members in tears.
In the spirit of friendly competition, everyone voted on their favorites for first, second and third place, all of which won Visa gift cards. Alan’s awesome dance routine placed third, while Zee & Gage tied for second for their musical performances.
Notably, our first-place winners were both minors, who surprised the entire room with their jaw-dropping duet of "When I Was Your Man" by Bruno Mars that ultimately clinched the competition. The love and support in the room was palpable, and we’re already looking forward to the next one!
