In 2024, Urban Peak served approximately 1,100 unduplicated youth. Of those eleven hundred young people, a whopping 87% engaged in our day services, which include access to meals, showers, life skills classes and support services such as education, employment and social-emotional wellbeing.

Now that we are settling into The Mothership, it’s been amazing to see how our programming has evolved and how excited youth are to participate in groups and activities. Perhaps the biggest reason for this is the significantly expanded space and diversity of room types available, especially along DK Way (the Wellbeing Center on the fourth floor). Now we can provide access to state-of-the-art computers in The Grid (our tech lab), teach art classes in Lumina (an art studio) and host clinical groups in Gary’s Place (a designated group therapy space). Gone are the days of all our programs sharing one single classroom!

This new campus allows multiple programs to run simultaneously and allows us to welcome more community partners to provide additional resources to youth.

At The Mothership, youth-requested ideas like cooking and poetry groups are happening all over campus. Urban Peak is now better equipped to fulfill our mission of igniting the potential in youth to exit homelessness and create self-determined, fulfilled lives.

We all need our people, and thanks to The Mothership, Urban Peak has never been better equipped to support our youth as they find their people and eventually make their own way in the world. We will continue to pave the way to a new future where youth homelessness is a thing of the past.

August and Willow are grateful for this amazing community!
